GENESIS Kitchen + Drinks Opens in Campus Point Biotech Hub
Inventive seasonal offerings shine with craft beers in an indoor-outdoor space
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 9) — A new restaurant has opened to serve San Diego’s life sciences hub Campus Point. GENESIS Kitchen + Drinks is a bright and airy restaurant offering a local, seasonal menu along with 13 craft beers on tap, 9 wines by the glass, and local kombucha for lunch Monday through Friday and a happy-hour menu Thursday and Friday.
GENESIS Kitchen + Drinks is located at 4242 Campus Point Court, part of the new GENESIS life science development complex by Phase 3 Real Estate Partners, Inc., which includes a full-scale fitness center, an outdoor lap pool, and yoga training patio. Employing a modern aesthetic with clean lines and carefully chosen rustic elements, the restaurant will serve nearby tenants as well as the public. GENESIS Kitchen + Drinks seats 56 people inside; has seating for 120 outside along with a large, welcoming bar; and boasts a semi-private outdoor space with a fireplace and a ping-pong table.

GENESIS’s menu offers delicious, locally sourced salads and sides, inventive sandwiches, artisanal pizzas, hearty entrées, and soups. Everything is made in house from scratch. Operated by the award-winning food service pioneer Bon Appétit Management Company, the café will serve wild-caught salmon and other sustainable seafood, Certified Humane ground beef, meat raised without antibiotics, and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Other special dietary needs are cheerfully accommodated.

GENESIS Kitchen + Drinks is open for lunch Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the bar bites menu is available 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
