STEM Kitchen & Garden celebrates produce harvested right from the on-site garden in its California-Mediterranean cuisine. STEM’s casual yet elegant atmosphere features an expansive outdoor patio, garden, bocce ball, fire pits, and sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay.

Set within the historic Rose Garden at The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens, the Tea Room offers an elegant experience inspired by the tradition of English tea service with a distinctive California twist. Provenance is operated in partnership with the Cleveland Museum of Art and celebrated local chef Douglas Katz. Provenance, from the French provenir meaning “to come from,” celebrates the origins of locally sourced foods, while themed prix-fixe menus complement current museum exhibitions. The more casual Provenance Café features lunch, dinner, and snack options made in an open kitchen, with a tandoor oven highlighting globally inspired cuisine. Catering by Provenance creates from-scratch seasonal menus for stunning events surrounded by the museum’s nearly 45,000 pieces of art.

Restaurant 356 offers a refined yet approachable menu with a wine program celebrating the great wine-growing regions of the world and innovative, classically focused cocktails.

Chandlery’s seasonal breakfast and lunch fare is inspired by the local bounty of Bay Area farmers and fisherfolk. Weeknight happy hours feature specialty house cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine. • Red Car: A modern coffee bar that also offers ice cream, snacks, and freshly made grab-and-go sandwiches and salads.
• 1919: Named for the year The Huntington was founded, the 1919 café serves brick-oven pizzas, salads, soups, sandwiches, and daily specials created by Bon Appétit as well as modern Mexican cuisine from chef-partners Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger at the Border Grill mini-taqueria. The Bar at 1919 offers freshly made sushi as well as global small plates, all of which can be paired with beer, wine, or craft cocktails.
• Patio Grill: Adjoining the Rose Garden, the weekends-only, outdoor Patio Grill — also by Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken — offers Latin American-inspired cuisine such as Cuban cheeseburgers and honey-lime grilled yams.
• Freshwater Dumpling and Noodle House: Over in the Chinese Garden, innovative chef Kajsa Alger and Feniger offer authentic dumplings and noodle dishes drawn from the many regions of China as well as from surrounding influences such as Nepal and Mongolia.

This food hall-style restaurant is home to four concepts: Homestead, featuring garden-fresh salads, savory soups, and artisan sandwiches; Tacos Por Favor, a festive taqueria; Rhino Grill, celebrating grass-fed burgers, free-range chicken, roasted vegetables, and chef-inspired daily specials; and Joeun, a modern taken on authentic Korean cuisine.

The Lighthouse’s casual, seasonal fare is made with locally sourced ingredients and served in a modern carbon-neutral space at the edge of the San Francisco Bay. Inventive plant-rich menus are prepared using methods that prevent and reduce waste and carbon emissions.
