SPOOKY TOAST
Ingredients
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 slice of bread, we recommend whole wheat
- Seaweed snacks, cut into spooky shapes with kitchen scissors
- Colorful toast toppings, such as radishes, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumber, parsley
Toast your bread if you prefer, and help kids spread and smash avocado, chop toppings, and cut seaweed into shapes to decorate their spooky toast – it’s that simple!
MUMMY PIZZAS
Suggested Ingredients
- 1 portion pizza dough (can use other bread options like bagels, baguettes, English muffins)
- 1 cup pizza sauce (sauce of your choice – a simple tomato, marinara, or pesto sauce works great!)
- 1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 carrot, peeled into long thick strips (mummy bandages)
- 1 zucchini, peeled into long thin strips (mummy bandages)
- Black or green olives, sliced and pitted (mummy eyes)
Instructions
If using pizza dough, preheat oven to 475 degrees. (For bagel/bread base, melt cheese and toppings in the oven at 300 degrees)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and brush with olive oil.
Spread 1-2 tablespoons of sauce on your pizza dough or bread of choice, and top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Lay your vegetable ribbons (veggie mummy bandages) across the top of your pizza and place 2 olive slices at the top for the eyes.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until your cheese has melted and your dough/bread base is cooked through.
Let the pizzas cool, and enjoy!
